ABOUT BRANDON
& JIMMY

Brandon Smith resides in Southern California where he works as an arranger and composer for marching programs across the country. Since establishing windarranger.com in 2001, he has designed over 250 shows that have been performed by ensembles at the highest state, regional, and national levels. From 2006-2018, Smith taught high school band in the North Texas metroplex at Prosper High School, Haltom High School, and Southwest High School. Southwest was a Texas UIL State 5A Marching Band Finalist, Bands of America Regional and Super Regional Class Champion, and a featured performing ensemble at the 2015 Midwest International Band and Orchestra Clinic in Chicago, Illinois. 

Previously, Brandon was the Percussion Coordinator at Haltom High School, a Texas UIL State 6A Marching Band Participant and Bands of America Super Regional Finalist. Under his direction, the percussion ensemble was selected as a featured performing ensemble at the 2012 Midwest International Band and Orchestra Clinic in Chicago, Illinois. 

Smith graduated Summa Cum Laude from Berklee College of Music where he majored in Film Composition. He currently enjoys an active schedule as a clinician, consultant, adjudicator, performer, and conductor throughout the United States. His professional affiliations include the Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA), the Texas Bandmasters Association (TBA), the American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers (ASCAP), and the Percussive Arts Society (PAS).

Jimmy Nguyen resides in Southern California, where he works as a composer, arranger, sound designer, and clinician for band and independent programs across the country.

Jimmy has worked with distinguished programs such as RCC Indoor Percussion, Meraki, Ayala HS, the Blue Stars Drum and Bugle Corps, and the Mandarins Drum and Bugle Corps. He has also had the privilege of composing and arranging for ensembles across the country, including medalists and finalists in Bands of America, UIL, WGI Percussion independent open & world, WGI Winds, and DCI open class.

With numerous years of performance experience, Jimmy has performed with groups such as RCC, the Blue Devils, and Pacific Crest. Jimmy holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology (with a focus in Education) from UC Riverside and a Master of Science in Education degree from CSU Fullerton.

Jimmy is a member of the American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers (ASCAP).
